McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet
By Timothy Paul Smith Photography
Print Description:
This aviation print captures US Navy Commander Borya “Borat” Celentano of Strike Fighter Squadron 204 (VFA-204) “River Rattlers” executing a high-speed pass in the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Legacy Hornet at Belle Chasse. Flown during a spectacular demo, this moment marked the end of an era for the squadron’s Legacy Hornet operations — a final salute to the aircraft that defined decades of adversary support and tactical excellence. Based at NAS JRB New Orleans, the River Rattlers are known for their professionalism, heritage, and Louisiana pride. This image honors the squadron’s legacy, leadership, and the raw energy of a Hornet in full stride.
