This aviation print features Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II S/N 11-5032 from the 58th Fighter Squadron “Mighty Gorillas” on landing approach with gear down at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The 58th became the Department of Defense’s first F-35 Lightning II training squadron on October 1, 2009, and continues to lead the way in fifth-generation pilot development. The squadron earned its nickname and motto — “When Gorillas fly, MiGs die, RAGE!” — through its legendary performance during the Gulf War, flying F-15C Eagles and achieving more air-to-air kills than any other coalition squadron, including the most MiG-29 kills.
