This aviation print features the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron 204 (VFA-204) “River Rattlers,” captured landing at Naval Air Station Pensacola on June 19, 2019. The aircraft, callsign “River One,” was flown by squadron skipper and flight lead CDR Ryan “Slappy” McLaughlin during a high-visibility arrival in front of the Blue Angels practice crowd. Based at NAS JRB New Orleans, VFA-204 is the U.S. Navy Reserve’s premier adversary and fleet support squadron, known for its professionalism, heritage, and combat readiness. This image honors the leadership, legacy, and Louisiana pride of the “Mighty Rattlers.”
